GUELPH — The deadline for farmers to apply for the Beef Farmers of Ontario (BFO) Environmental Stewardship Award (TESA) has been extended by three months.
The new deadline is Sept. 30. Farmers can either be nominated by someone else or themselves. The winner is chosen based on stewardship practices, accomplishments and goals. The award is open to all Ontario cattlemen.
The winner will be announced at the group’s annual general meeting in February and will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association’s semi-annual meeting in August, 2019 to compete for the national award.
