SOUTH WALSINGHAM — A $40,000 irrigation pump stolen from a farm in Norfolk County is the latest in a recent series of thefts on farms in the county.
The sizeable pump, which included a 250-gallon diesel fuel tank, was stolen the night of July 21 from the end of a farm driveway in South Walsingham. The police have already received some tips, said media relations Const. Edward Sanchuk. “Someone in the community will know something, we’re just waiting for them to come forward.”
On July 6, three Honda generators, valued at a combined $2,200, were stolen from a farm at North Walsingham.
On July 23, two motors valued at a combined $800 were stolen from a farm at Fairground, 30 minutes south of Tillsonburg.
