Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Association is seeking Nominations from the Public
The Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Association is a body that recognizes those persons who have demonstrated unselfish achievement within the realm of agriculture and service to the rural community of Chatham-Kent and/or beyond. If you know someone – a family member, friend, neighbour, co-worker – living or deceased, who you feel has met this standard over their lifetime or career, the Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame Board of Directors wants to hear from you.
Each year, 3 to 5 deserving individuals are chosen from a list of submitted nominees and are recognized at the annual induction ceremony held in November each year. The submission deadline for Hall of Fame nominations is March 31st of each year. Those nominations received by that date will receive consideration by the Committee at their Spring meeting, however nominations can be submitted at any time throughout the year for consideration the following year.
To date, 201 of Kent County’s most accomplished individuals in the agricultural community – including primary production, extension and research, education, government, business and stewardship – have been recognized. For more information and a copy of the nomination form, please go to the Kent Agricultural Hall of Fame website – www.chatham-kent.ca/aghof, or contact Kathryn Vanek at 519-683-2929 – jvanek@ciaccess.com before March 31st.
