LINDSAY — The Victoria Beef Farmers have served up $5,000 worth of hamburger to their Lindsay-area local food bank during this pandemic.
In 2020, the not-for-profit group — based in the former Victoria township — donated $2,000 in hamburger to Kawartha Lakes Food Source. They followed up this spring with a further quantity worth $3,000. The ground beef donations were procured through local butcher shops, says local beef farmer Jim King.
