BAYHAM Two people were killed in separate collisions with farm machinery last month in Western Ontario. On Nov. 13, a 2006 Chrysler 300 hit a John Deere 2720 disc ripper being pulled by a John Deere tractor. The car then hit a hydro pole at Bayham, south of Tillsonburg in Kent County. Sixty-three-year-old Alan Hollywell, of Port Burwell, was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old driver of the tractor was not injured. On Nov. 14, a Volkswagen car collided with a farm tractor pulling a trailer in Enniskillen Township, near Sarnia, killing the driver of the car, Craig Moffat, 45, of Petrolia. The 51-year-old tractor driver was not injured. The snowy weather might have been a factor, police said. No charges have been laid. |
