Mathers, 11 (also at left) were assisted by local Pioneer dealer and friend Kevin Leeder and his son, Braden, 16 (at right) with harvesting the delivery. The contribution weighed in at one tonne and was disbursed to city food bank clients within a day
of arrival. The Fawcetts’ 1.5-acre sweetcorn plot is otherwise run as a summer job by Taylor and Ericka, who operate a vendor stand at the end of their grandparents’ driveway.
