The Richmond Fair made a comeback this year after a year of pandemic lockdowns. The Sept. 16-19 fair was back to the real deal with a midway, 4-H shows, horse and cattle shows and demolition derby. The recent Renfrew Fair was also re-opened this year with a midway and most in-person events. The Richmond Fair sidelined a few big events, including the parade and community dinner. Tickets were sold at the entrance gate only. Vaccination status was not required but masking was enforced, sort of.
