TORONTO — A Charolais cow that wasn’t named grand or reserve champion in the Charolais competition at the Royal Winter Fair in November was named supreme champion of all breeds.
CRG Princess Valentine 42D, owned by Craig and Jack Oattes of Oattes Cattle at Cobden in Renfrew County, has had a few good months on the show circuit. She was named grand champion at both the Renfrew Fair and the Charolais ‘Boss’ Show in September.
It was a sweep for the Charolais breed in the supreme categories as the supreme champion bull, MVY Caous 64D, is also a Charolais and is owned by Rollin Acres Charolais at Mulmar, Ont. in Western Ontario.
