QUINTE WEST — A vehicle trespassing on a farm property drew the attention of law enforcement and led to the arrest of a driver who possessed suspected methamphetamine, according to Quinte West OPP.
Officers observed the suspicious vehicle parked April 12 in a field on County Rd. 40, north of English Settle Rd., around 9:15 a.m.
Cannabis was also found to be readily accessible to the arrested motorist, according to the detachment, which reports that Quinte West resident Jordan Whiteside, 30, is charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – Methamphetamine
- Enter premises when entry prohibited
- Have care of control of a vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available; and
- Have care or control of a vehicle or boat with cannabis in open baggage
The accused was released to appear May 10 in Belleville court.
