Jamaican workers fill a wagon on a 40-acre pumpkin patch at Miller’s Farm and Market just south of Manotick on Rideau Valley Road on Oct. 12. On the weekend, the field was crawling with families. The farm’s biggest sellers are pumpkins, mostly for the Halloween season, and strawberries. At front, Warren Abrams puts a pumpkin on the wagon. Other workers are Denholme Angus, Stedley Neil and Dennis Black.
