GUELPH The National Farmers Union in Ontario (NFU-O) says it is on track to reach its goal of 2,500 members. Thats the number of members it had in 2012, before losing its accreditation as a general farm organization. After that, membership dwindled to 500. NFU-O officials say memberships have been trending upwards since re-accreditation in October 2013. Last year, memberships had bounced back to 1,400. The Ontario Federation of Agriculture is the largest Ontario farm organization with 37,000 member families.
