New Holland wins Agritechnica gold medal for new combine concept — and two silver for T7 Methane Power LNG and T4 Electric Power tractors
HANOVER, GERMANY — New Holland Agriculture won three Innovation Medals at Agritechnica 2023.
The brand received the only gold medal assigned by the commission and two silver medals.
The gold went to the overall concept of the new Twin Rotor combine harvester, that will be presented for the world premiere at Agritechnica in November 2023.
The two Silver Medals went to New Holland’s new entries in the alternative propulsion tractors portfolio: the T7 Methane Power LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) and the T4 Electric Power. Both tractors were presented for the first time during CNH’s Tech Day in December 2022 in Arizona, US.
To be produced at New Holland’s Center of Harvesting Excellence in Zedelgem, Belgium, the new combine has been redeveloped to deliver the higher throughputs, reduce grain loss and add more automation demanded by tomorrow’s farms.
The first of the two Silver Medals has been assigned by the T7 Methane Power Liquified Natural Gas tractor, now a production intent prototype.
With its 270hp the new T7 Methane Power LNG meets the need for powerful high horsepower machines that produce lower emissions and operating costs. Autonomy capability is more than doubled thanks to the use of liquified methane and space is optimized with the stainless-steel cryogenic tank.
The New Holland T4 Electric Power tractor is the winner of the second Silver Medal for Innovation. The emission free and silent energy tractor introduces a new tractor class in the market, the Utility Electric and establishes a remarkable step towards zero emission farming.
