LINDSAY — A Bruce County Jersey farm had both the grand champion cow and the junior champion at the Ontario Jersey Summer Show at Lindsay on July 25.
Golden Getaway Exotica, bred and owned by Glen and Sheila Burgess of Golden Jerseys at Mildmay, Ont. was named grand champion, the latest in a long line of victories for the senior three-year-old. In the past few years, the animal has also won or been nominated for all Canadian intermediate yearling, all Ontario immediate yearling, all Ontario intermediate calf and was reserve all Canadian 4-H Jr/Int calf.
As well, Golden Joyride Louisa — also bred and owned by Golden Jerseys — was named junior champion.
