Funding for farmers under the Canadian Agricultural Partnership opens up soon and farmers need to get in early as the money is doled out first-come, first-served.
The five-year federal provincial partnership offers funding for farmers and other businesses to cost-share on dozens of programs and projects to improve the farm, including introducing cover crops or switching to no-till. Or you can improve yourself through business management training.
A farm could be eligible for thousands of dollars when the next round of applications opens on January 8 and closes January 29. Get in early, because applications are processed until the money runs out.
