OTTAWA — Canada has banned sales of new ve- hicles powered by gas or diesel by 2035 – only 13 years away.
There will be exceptions for semi-trucks and agricultural vehicles.
Meantime, used pick-up truck and car sales have been hot, thanks largely to the semi-conductor shortages in new vehicles. According to Canadian Black Book, on average vehicle is worth 34 per cent more than it was in 2021. A $24,000 vehicle now sells for $32,000. More used pick up trucks are also being resold in the U.S. for more profit.
