LONDON — Great Lakes Grain’s 2022 crop tour is complete, allowing the company to predict an average provincial corn yield of 176.9 bu/ac and an average soybean yield of 48.8 bu/ac.
More than 900 Ontario fields were assessed in order to come up with the 2022 crop yield estimates, which were announced Sept. 13.
Eastern Ontario’s projected yield is broken out separately and clocks in at a respective 183.6 bu/ac and 45.9 bu/ac for corn and soybeans.
The crop projections are an annual Great Lakes Grain tradition.
The results are in! After assessing over 900 fields across the province, we have calculated the average yield estimates by county.
