OTTAWA — Farmers and other food exporters now have free access to new Canadian branding materials for their international marketing campaigns.
The updated ‘Canada Brand’ program features an updated ‘Canada’ logo with modernized graphics and taglines. Participants can also choose from new video content and a revitalized photo library, among other offerings in the “digital toolkit.”
Agricultural exporters are often eager to associate their goods with ‘Canada’ because of the national brand’s positive image with consumers overseas.
The Canada Brand for Canadian agriculture and agri-food products was launched in 2006 by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. The federal department says it’s driven the success of hundreds of Canadian agri-food businesses and associations in global markets.
Agriculture and Agri-food Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau announced the program update on Valentine’s Day, saying it would be “a powerful tool for our Canadian agriculture and agri-food exporters in highly competitive markets.”
