LONDON — Farm and Food Care Ontario recently held its third Breakfast from the Farm event this year and it was again sold out. The Saturday, Oct. 2 event included 520 vehicles (with three to four people per vehicle). Farmers at the Western Fair District fairgrounds fed about 1,800 people.
The event included more than 30 sponsors and more than 50 farmer volunteers. The drive-through experience offered a chance to meet farmers, view farm equipment and penned animals. The event was topped off with a large breakfast bag of all-Ontario products that included sausages, milk, cheese, eggs, butter, maple syrup, pancake mix, apples and corn kernels. Breakfast events were also held at Ottawa and Lindsay.

There was more than sausages in the city as 520 vehicles lined up for an in-the-city farm tour and a breakfast bag.
