Last year was a bummer for Eastern Ontario’s Holstein shows, which were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but many of the shows are making a comeback this summer.
Eight Eastern County Holstein shows are scheduled to take place in-person at different fairgrounds in the region.
They are:
• Glengarry County Show, Williamstown Fairgrounds
• Prescott County Show, Vankleek Hill Fairgrounds
• Eastern Ontario Invitational, Spencerville Fairgrounds
•Renfrew County Show, Cobden Fairgrounds
•Stormont County Show, Newington Fairgrounds
• Lanark County Show, Perth Fairgrounds
• Frontenac County Show, Kingston Fairgrounds
• Carleton-Russell County Show, Metcalfe Fairgrounds
The shows will not be open to the general public, so neither sponsors nor spectators will be present. Most will be livestreamed so that people can watch from home. Holstein Ontario is working with the Eastern Ontario Health Unit to implement COVID-19 regulations for their in-person shows.
The registration links for each Eastern County show can be found on the Ontario Holsteins website: https://ontario.holstein.ca/shows/east-shows/
