Farmers can turn their old tires into children’s dreams through the Tire Take Back event from May 23 to June 4.
Ontario farmers can donate their tires at one of eight Eastern and East-Central locations. Tire collectors are normally paid $0.88 per regular tire and $3.05 per off-road tire from Ontario Tire Stewardship for every tire collected for recycling. During the event, the tire collectors are donating all money to the Sunshine
Foundation of Canada, which helps dreams come true for children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
Since 2010, the program has raised more than $1 million.
