BRINSTON — Dundas Agri Systems has merged into the AgriHub Group of Companies — a collection of several like-minded agri-businesses in Canada and the U.S. Local customers should notice no change at the prominent regional Lely and Boumatic dealership located in Brinston, north of Iroquois, local managers say.
However, by joining forces with AgriHub, Dundas Agri Systems expects to benefit from corporate information technologies, human resources, and marketing services, as well as access to an expanded team of dairy and in- dustry experts. In addition, the operation will gain product lines, improved costing, and “a measure of pricing stability due to leveraged buying power,” Dundas Agri Systems says in a May 6 press release.
All current Brinston employees and sup- port personnel will remain with the business and continue to service its 250 Eastern Ontario dairy farm customers. The merger was effective May 1.
Dundas Agri Systems was founded in 1981 as a Boumatic vendor. In 2009, the firm added the Lely line, just as robotic milking was about to go mainstream. Less than a decade later, Dundas Agri Systems became the North American Lely dealership to sell its 200th robotic milker.
AgriHub Group provides centralized services to operating brands across Western Canada and the Upper Midwest U.S. includ- ing Penner Farm Services, Western Ag Systems, United Agri Systems, New Standard Ag, and Horizon Livestock & Poultry Supply.
