NAPANEE — A heifer was apparently shot dead at a Napanee-area farm over Thanksgiving weekend.
According to Postmedia, the heifer was found with a puncture wound in her side. The farm, Gold Wing Ranch, is between Napanee and Deseronto.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry confirmed that the ministry was investigating the incident, but could not provide any further details.
