NAPANEE — A cow made a bold break for freedom May 10, only to be rounded up by local OPP officers when she wandered into downtown Napanee.
The blonde-coloured bovine — possibly an example of the Charolais beef breed — had kicked its way out of a trailer that was stopped along Dundas Street shortly after 6 p.m.
The owner secured another trailer, and members of the Lennox and Addington OPP, after corralling the animal, “backed up” the escapee into the unit.
“No people or animals were harmed in the interaction,” the detachment proclaimed. “The cow moooved along.”
