GUELPH Another high-profile employee is leaving OMAFRA, the second to do so in just over a month. Corn specialist Greg Stewarts last day on the job is March 20, about six weeks after cereals specialist Peter Johnson, 58, retired on Feb. 4. “I am too young, too poor and have too many beautiful children to retire, so Im excited about going to work with Maizex as an agronomist,” wrote Stewart to colleagues in February. Stewart, 54, who has five children (ages 13 to 27), worked for OMAFRA for 17 years. He will be based in Tilbury. |
