KAWARTHA LAKES — Comedian Quick Dick McDick is whipping out to Eastern Ontario for a June 28 show jointly presented by Victoria County Grains and Maizeing Acres. The bearded Saskatchewan farmer and online sensation — whose actual name is Dickson Delorme — has amassed over 120,000 followers on YouTube where he amusingly contrasts the realities of agriculture with the latest decrees from Ottawa.
The night of comedy starts 8 p.m. at Victoria County Grains — 17961 Simcoe Street North, Manilla. It’s a fundraiser event for local 4-H, and donations for the cause will be collected at the door. No RSVP or ticket is required, and attendees are advised to bring their own beverages.
“I think it’ll be absolutely huge, enormous,” Maizeing Acres’ Peter Archer said of McDick’s impending appearance. “Everybody knows him from social media.”
