OTTAWA — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has determined that an Alberta Black Angus cow, detected with BSE in February, had eaten a small amount of contaminated feed.
The cow was euthanized but at least five countries, including South Korea, put a temporary ban on Canadian beef.
It was Canada’s 19th BSE case and the second case from the same farm.
