ONTARIO — Do you know an Ontario beef farmer who exemplifies good stewardship practices and conservation leadership? Or maybe that farmer is you?
Nominate them for the Environmental Stewardship Award through the Beef Farmers of Ontario.
Producers may also apply for the award on their own behalf. Deadline to nominate or apply is July 1.
The recipient will be announced at the Beef Farmers of Ontario’s annual general meeting in February. As the Ontario winner, they also have a shot at the equivalent national-level award. They get an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association semi-annual
meeting to find out.
The award has been handed out annually at the provincial and national levels since 1996.
