ONTARIO — Rural Ontario stayed true to its Conservative roots winning 22 out of 25 ridings in Ontario farm country, in the recent federal election.
Farmers Forum identified 25 rural ridings in farm country in Eastern Ontario, Central Ontario and Southwestern Ontario. We excluded all ridings with a population density of about 100 people or
more per square kilometre.
In the 2019 election, the Conseratives won 22 of 25 ridings. In the 2015 federal election, the Conservatives won 20 rural ridings compared to five for the Liberals. Here are the latest results.
